Maria Fenwick

Maria Fenwick began her career as a teacher in the Boston Public Schools, after which she served as the founding Executive Director of Teach Plus Greater Boston where she worked to better engage teachers in education policymaking. She then worked as an independent contractor for organizations including the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, American Institutes for Research, and various Massachusetts-based charter schools and districts. Maria went on to found and lead The Teacher Collaborative, a non-profit focused on improving teacher professional development and leadership opportunities.

Maria currently serves on her local School Committee and local education foundation board and continues to be a passionate supporter for high-quality education for every child.

Maria has a Master’s Degree in Education Policy Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from UMass Boston, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Colby College.
